PLYMOUTH – Charles Vernon Holt, 81, husband of Olive (Roberts) Holt, died Dec. 21, 2006, at a Pittsfield hospital. He was born Jan. 2, 1925, a son of Moses and Thala (Adams) Holt. He graduated from Newport High School, Class of 1942. During World War II, Charlie worked at Camden Shipbuilding and Marine Railway Co. He later worked at the Eugene Gray farm, Plymouth, Cummings Mill and later, Guilford Industries, Newport; Eastland Woolen Mill, Corinna; and also operated a shop at his home on Moosehead Trail, sharpening saws. There will be no services at this time. Spring graveside committal services will be held at Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth, with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Plymouth Snowmobile Club, P.O. Box 56, Plymouth, ME 04969.
