BREWER – Charlotte L. Buck, 78, died Feb. 14, 2005, at her home. She was born June 3, 1926, in Bangor the daughter of Francis and Lora Tripaldi. She graduated from Bangor High School. Charlotte went on to receive her certification in nursing after having a family of eight children. She worked for many years at Bangor Mental Health Institute and Eastern Maine Medical Center. Charlotte volunteered her time at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Literacy Volunteer Program and the S.H.A.R.E. Program through the North Brewer/Eddington United Methodist Church, where she was a long time member and held various offices in the WSCS. She was an avid reader. She also enjoyed quilting, needlework of all kinds, gardening, and music. She will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Warden E. Buck of Brewer; four daughters, Vivian Pratt and her husband, David, of Ashford, Conn., Marion Hatt and her husband, Bob, of Eddington, Rosalie Kenney and her husband, Michael, of Etna, Maydelle Lucas and her husband, Jeffery of Mason, Ohio; two sons, Richard Buck and his wife, Sally, of Otis, and Alton Buck and his wife Robin, of Brewer; 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one daughter, Gloria Marie Buck; and one son, Ivan Everette Buck. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at the home of Warden and Charlotte Buck, 226 Day Road, Brewer. Per her request their will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bangor Public Library or the Brewer Public Library in her name.
