HARRINGTON – Cheryl L. Bagley, 42, wife of Merton Bagley Jr., passed away Jan. 5, 2008, at a Bangor hospital after a long courageous battle with cystic fibrosis. She was born Dec. 2, 1965, in Nashua, N.H., the daughter of John and Lois (Strout) Farnsworth. Cheryl graduated from Narraguagus High School, Class of 1984 and married her first true love, Mert Jr., Sept. 15, 1984. Cheryl was employed for several years as a daycare provider in her home before becoming employed at Bar Harbor Banking and Trust in Milbridge. Cheryl enjoyed scrapbooking, line-dancing and riding on the back of Mert’s motorcycle, but she will always be remembered for her love of strawberry frosted Dunkin’ Donuts, French vanilla decaf coffee and her collection of yellow smiley faces. Cheryl lived her life to the fullest and was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Merton Bagley Jr. of Harrington; her parents, John and Lois Farnsworth of Addison; two sisters, Ronalee Robinson and husband, Billy Jr., of Harrington and Lori-Ann White and companion, David Mathews, of Milbridge; parents-in-law, Merton Bagley Sr. and Lita of Columbia Falls; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Bagley of Columbia Falls and Lynn Lyford and husband, John, of Addison; brother-in-law, Michael Bagley and wife, Marla, of Addison; two nephews, godsons, Jonathon Sawtelle and Douglas Hicks; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Donna, Jamee, Jodi, Kristan, Justin, Courtney W. and Courtney B. She is also survived by several special friends. She was predeceased by a special sister, Crystal Sawtelle in 1997. The family would like to thank everyone for their on-going support during the last years of Cheryl’s life. A very special thanks to the nurses and close friends at Eastern Maine Medical Center Grant 6. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the VFW Hall, Lobster Ranch, Harrington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cheryl L. Bagley Memorial Fund, care of Lynn Lyford, P.O. Box 237, Addison, ME 04606. Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
