BANGOR – Shadrach Brown, 52, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 24, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Sept. 30, 1955, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Rodrick B. and Vera (Duckett) Brown. Shad moved to the Bangor area in the late 1970s. He worked as a weightlifter instructor for many years. Shad also worked as a bouncer and for Maine Environmental Services. He enjoyed singing, dancing and exercise. Shad loved his daughter and friends very much. In addition to his mother of Kansas City, Mo., he is survived by a daughter, Jasmine Brown of LaGrange; a sister, Esthereana “Hadasah” Brown of Kansas City, Mo.; and numerous other brothers and sisters; special friends, Karen Patchell, Brianna Storie and Jim, all of Bangor and Linda of Hampden. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Clayton Blackstone, pastor of Advent Christian Church, officiating. Interment will be in the spring at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
