OAKFIELD – Chester A. Bart-lett Jr., 68, died Sept. 11, 2007, in Houlton. He was born March 23, 1937, in Island Falls, the son of Chester and Virgie (McFarland) Bartlett. Chester was retired from General Electric. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda (Parizo) Bartlett of Oakfield; three children, Donald Bartlett and Deb Marcotte of Manchester, N.H., Janice Cote and her husband, Tom, of Columbus, Ind., Fred and his wife, Vikki Bartlett of Arlington Heights, Ill.; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; six brothers and sisters, Gloria Noyes of Patten, Dannie and his wife, Betty Bartlett, of Oakfield, Joan and her husband, Peter Main, of Crystal, Kerry and his wife, Connie Bartlett, of Oakfield, Brian Bartlett of Nashua, N.H., Jeanne Carney and her husband, Michael, of Lincoln; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; and one brother, Dennis. Friends may call 12-2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Bowers Funeral Home, Sherman Street, Island Falls, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. with the Rev. Peter Main officiating. Interment will be in Oakfield Cemetery.
