PRESQUE ISLE – Christine Sturgeon York, 43, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at her home, after a long battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 24, 1965, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth “Betty” (Bates) Sturgeon Jr. Christine was a graduate of Ashland High School. She is survived by her parents of Ashland; two sons, Roger Burby Jr. of Presque Isle and Kristopher Burby of Ashland; two granddaughters, Taylor Burby and Kera Burby; three brothers, Harold Flint Jr. and his wife, Tonya, of Monson, Robert Sturgeon III of Ashland, and Stacy Sturgeon and his wife, Kelli, of Ashland; many nieces and nephews. She will also be greatly missed by her very dear friend, Dana; and her niece, Miranda Burby. At her request, there will be no funeral services.
