CHRISTINE (TRENHOLM) FEENEY BANGOR – Christine Cecilia (Trenholm) Feeney, 95, died May 6, 2004, at a Bangor healthcare center. She was born July 21, 1908, in Orono, the daughter of Thomas Edmond and Florence May (Stanley) Trenholm. Christine grew up and was educated in Bangor. She lived in Belfast for many years with her late husband, Howard, where they owned and operated Feeney’s Market on Main Street. Upon her return to Bangor she was an active member of the Grace United Methodist Church and served as Church Historian for many years. She was a member of the Bangor Senior Citizens Club and served as secretary and vice-president. Christine enjoyed golf, gardening, homemaking, and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family. Surviving are two sons, Col. Linwood K. Feeney, U.S.A.R. (Ret.) and wife, Patricia, of Bangor, Kern L. Feeney and wife, Marion, of Brewer; one daughter, Jerrie Parsons and husband, Forrest, of Penobscot; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Christine was predeceased by four brothers, Thomas, Kenneth, Walter, and Charles Trenholm; two sisters, Georgianna Boudreau and Florence Miner. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 10, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, at a time to be announced. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., following the service Monday.
