BOOTHBAY – Christopher A. Case, 39, died Monday, April 10, 2006, at his home. He was born April 15, 1966, in Hartford, Conn., a son of Bradford and Nancy Peck Case. Chris grew up in South Windsor, Conn., and moved to Southport Island in 1977. He attended Southport schools and graduated from Boothbay Region High School in the Class of 1985. Chris was a skilled finish carpenter and worked for Boothbay Home Builders for the past 19 years. Chris loved boating, fishing, hunting and spending time with his friends and family on the water. Chris was a Volkswagen enthusiast and enjoyed showing his 1969 Karmann Ghia, which earned him several awards. He married Aimee Ayotte May 21, 1994 and together they took great pride in raising their daughter, Evy, who was born Oct. 30, 1999. Chris is survived by his wife, Aimee A. Case of Boothbay; daughter, Evy Martha Case of Boothbay; mother, Nancy Case of Boothbay Harbor; father, Bradford Case and his wife, Lois, of South Windsor, Conn.; brother, Timothy Case and his wife, Cynde, of Westminster, Colo.; sister and brother-in-law, Holly and Robert Behre and their children, Dorothy, Henry and Joseph, all of Charleston, S.C.; and his yellow lab, CJ. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, on his 40th birthday, at the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor. The Rev. Dr. Sarah Foulger and the Rev. Lisa Burger will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Chris’ memory may be made to the Fisherman’s Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 304, Boothbay Harbor. Arrangements are entrusted to Simmons, Harrington & Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Boothbay.
