RAYMOND – Christopher Ian Ball died unexpectedly Monday, April 28, 2008, at the young age of 40. Chris was a devoted father, loving son and brother who leaves behind three children, Nicholas, 11, Gabrielle, 3, and Whitney, 1. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Torie Nolin of Gorham; his parents, Ira and Shirley of Bridgton; and his brothers, Matthew, Andrew and Aaron, and their families, all of Hermon; and the mother of Nicholas and Gabrielle, Tracey Tibbetts of Raymond. Chris was a 1986 graduate of Lake Region High School, and attended the University of Vermont and University of Southern Maine. For the past 15 years, he owned Ball & Co., a home construction business. He helped design and built his parent’s dream home where they now reside. Chris was generous with his friends and devoted to his brothers and their families. He lived by the philosophy that if you work hard, you can play hard, and he never missed an opportunity to celebrate life. When he was with his family and friends his blue eyes would sparkle like stars. Chris adored his “girls,” Gabby, Whitney and Torie. He shared his love of sports with his son, Nicholas, and they spent many happy times attending Red Sox and Celtic games. He will be best remembered by his brothers and close friends for all the times snowmobiling, motorcycling, trips to Foxwoods and Las Vegas, and just hanging out. His enthusiasm and competitive spirit will live in our memories forever. We love and miss you, Chris! Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road, Casco. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Christ Chapel, Northern Pines Road, off Route 85, Raymond. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ball Children Trust Fund, Gorham Savings Bank, care of Lisa Thomas, 64 Main St., Gorham, ME 04038.
