PROSPECT HARBOR – Cindy Lou Walker, 46, passed away March 13, 2005, at home, after an extended illness. She was born July 8, 1958, in Bangor. Cindy enjoyed walking to the mail, visiting with the elderly, and especially playing with her nieces and nephews. She always had a smile and hug for everyone. She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Walker, and her life partner, Lawrence Nichols, of Prospect Harbor; father, Bud Walker and wife, Shirley, of Lamoine; three sisters, Alice McNeil and husband, Oliver, of Franklin, Zelma McAlpine and friend, Ralph Colby, of Lamoine, and Deborah Walker of Ellsworth; one brother, Freeman Walker of Prospect Harbor; two special nieces, Marlene Walker, and her friend, D.J. Moody, of Prospect and Charlene Cowperthwaite and husband, Earl, of Prospect Harbor; two special nephews, Danny Walker and companion, Becky Rumery, of Prospect Harbor and James McAlpine and companion, Becca Robinson, of Cherryfield; special aunt, Annie Strout, of Milbridge; and many great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and special friends. She will also be sadly missed by her beloved Mama Cat. Cindy was predeceased by her grandparents, Fred and Bernetta Kelley, and Neil and Inez Walker; and a great nephew, Tyler Walker. Friends and relatives are invited to join with Cindy’s family from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2005, for a gathering of remembrance at Cindy’s home in Prospect Harbor.
