ARLINGTON, Va. – Clara Hartley Cohen, 88, passed away May 11, 2008, at her home in Arlington, Va. She was born in 1920, in Monticello, and met and married Reuben Cohen in Bangor. He passed away in 1995, at which point they had been married for 58 years. She is survived by her children, Marlene Beckwith and William Cohen; and was predeceased in 2003 by her son, Robert Cohen. She is also survived by grandchildren, James, Mark, Kevin, Christopher, Lisa, Heather and Daniel; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Connor, Lilia, Mike, Kara, Lauren, Jack, Jordan and Sophia. She had a gift for gardening and a deep love of animals. Her friends and family will miss her quick wit, plainspoken manner and loving heart.
