ORONO – Clarence H. “Wee Wee” Nadeau, 80, passed away April 5, 2008, surrounded by his family and friends, at his residence. He was born Jan. 21, 1928, in Orono, a son of Ernest and Lillian (St. Peter) Nadeau. He attended St. Mary’s sch-ools. He was employed at Old Town Canoe, then Diamond International for 42 years, retiring in 1990. He loved playing cards, doing word puzzles and playing golf, especially with his brother and his grandson. He enjoyed the outdoors and all activities, including hunting and fishing. He enjoyed people and life itself, and watching the Red Sox. He is survived by a daughter, Margaret Jane Wickett and her husband, Lloyd, of Fort Myers, Fla.; five grandchildren, Tammy Wickett of Fort Myers, Fla., Lloyd “Chris” Wickett and his wife, Tracie, of Old Town, Julie Wickett of Rochester Hills, Mich., Fred Scott III and his wife, Sara, of Brewer and Nicole Weldon and her husband, Jason, of Brewer; four great-grandchildren, Lisa, Tay-lor, Katelynn and Mason; five sisters, Elsie Cota of Orono, Mamie Seymour of Old Town, Pauline Butler of Orono, Bertha of Henderson, Conn., and Bernice Hendrix Moreau of New Hampshire; two brothers, Lawrence “Johnny” Nadeau of Orono and Norman Nadeau of Old Town; many nieces and nephews; special people, Amanda Nash and family, David Hersey and his wife, Kelly. He was predeceased by a daughter, Patti Lou Scott; and three brothers, Freeman, Albert and Leslie Nadeau. A special thanks to Patrick and Lucy DuFour for their support. A thank you to New Hope Hospice for there tender care. A graveside service is scheduled 2 p.m. May 23 at Riverside Cemetery, Orono. A reception will be held after the service at Clarence’s home.
