ORONO – Clarence H. “Wee Wee” Nadeau, 80, passed away April 5, 2008, surrounded by his family and friends, at his residence. He was born Jan. 21, 1928, in Orono, a son of Ernest and Lillian (St. Peter) Nadeau. He attended St. Mary’s schools. He was employed at Old Town Canoe, then Penobscot Chemical & Fiber, PCF, for 42 years, retiring in 1990. He loved playing cards, doing word puzzles and playing golf, especially with his brother and his grandson. He enjoyed the outdoors and all activities, including hunting and fishing. He enjoyed people and life itself, and watching the Red Sox. He is survived by a daughter, Margaret Jane Wickett and her husband, Lloyd, of Fort Myers, Fla.; five grandchildren, Tammy Wickett, Llyod “Chris” Wickett and his wife, Tracie, Julie Wickett, Fred Scott III and his wife, Sara, Nicole Weldon and her husband, Jason; four great-grandchildren, Lisa, Tay-lor, Kaitlen and Mason; five sisters, Elsie Cota, Mamie Seymour, Pauline Butler, Bertha Henderson and Bernice Hendrix Moreau; two brothers, Lawrence “Johnny” Nadeau and Norman Nadeau; special fri-ends, “granddaughter,” Aman-da Nash and her husband, Lucas, and their children, Hope and baby Lucas; “son,” David Hersey and his wife, Kelly. He was predeceased by a daughter, Patti Lou Scott; and three brothers, Freeman, Albert and Leslie Nadeau. A graveside service at Riverside Cemetery, Orono, will be announced later in the spring.
