SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. Clarice Rita McEntee, 83, wife of the late Claude H. McEntee, died Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Kingswood Nursing Home, Aberdeen, N.C. She was born April 12, 1923, in Mars Hill, the daughter of the late Wellington and Mary Charlotte Ireland Jameson. Mrs. McEntee was retired from Potato Service, Inc., a member of the First Baptist Church of Southern Pines, Bethany Baptist Church, Presque Isle, and the Pythian Sisters. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Paul D. McEntee. She is survived by her daughter, Penny Higgins and her husband, Woody, of Southern Pines, N.C.; one son, Gary McEntee and his wife, Donna, of Fredericksburg, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Mary McEntee of Palmetto, Fla.; six grandchildren, Stephen, Cyn-thia, Daniel, Scott, Greg, and Alicia; five great-grand-children, Danielle, Jack, Courtney, Brenna and Meghan. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. A graveside service will be held at Fairmont Cemetery, Presque Isle. Powell Funeral Home, Southern Pines, N.C., is helping with the arrangements.
