PEORIA, Ariz. – Clayton Stubbs, 82, husband of Linda Leary Stubbs, died July 30, 2008, at a Hospice of the Valley, Sun City, Ariz. He was born in Milo, the son of William and Eva (Kinney) Stubbs. He was a member of Tuscan Chapter Order of Eastern Star No. 148, past master of St. Andrews Lodge and a chanter in the Anah Temple Shrine. He worked for Darling’s Auto Parts. He is survived by wife, Linda; sons, Alan Stubbs and wife, Bette, of Maine and Scott Stubbs and wife, Linda, of Maine; granddaughters, Amy Stubbs of Wyoming and Jennifer Stubbs of Rhode Island; stepdaughter, Myra Phillips and husband, Earl; stepgrandsons, John Phillips and Michael Phillips, all of Arizona; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by wife, Marilyn (Roberts) Stubbs; son, Brent Stubbs; daughter, Sandra Stubbs; sisters, Barbara Edgerly and Muriel Lovell; and brothers, Brian Stubbs and Erroll Stubbs. Celebrations of Clayton’s life will be held in Arizona and Maine with dates to be announced.
