EAST MILLINOCKET – Marguerite Robertson, beloved wife of Roderick Robertson, went home to be with her heavenly family Tuesday, July 29, 2008. She was born Feb. 17, 1926, in East Millinocket, the second daughter of Frank and Mary Mayo. “Maggie,” as she was lovingly called by her family and friends, graduated from Garret Schenck Junior High School, Class of 1944. She was a dedicated communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Maggie worked each summer for many years at the Lawn Party’s “fudge table” and every fall at Christmas Tea for her church. She also worked tirelessly for East Branch Sno Rovers Club, and was a devoted member from its beginning. Marguerite is survived by her husband of 58 years; her sisters-in-law, Josephine Fiske, Hilda Ciarrocchi and Pauline “Billie” Farrington; her niece, Sharon Maloof of Massachusetts; her cousin, Dominic Muoio and his wife, Marie, of Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and sisters, Ula Mayo and Emma Maloof. The family would like to acknowledge and extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Kelley Coon, Evelyn Lakeman and Valice Austin, and also sincere gratitude to the entire staff at Millinocket Regional Hospital, who gave Maggie such compassionate care and comfort to her family members. Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Lamson Funeral Home, 17 Western Ave., East Millinocket, where a rosary service will be held 7:30 p.m. conducted by the officers and members of Daughters of Isabella, St. Ann’s Circle. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 58 Cedar St., East Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider.
