HOULTON and LITTLETON Cleo D. (Adams) Drake, 80, died Sept. 22, 2006, at her home. She was born Nov. 12, 1925, in Washburn, the daughter of Ira and Georgia (Alley) Adams. Cleo taught sewing for Singer Sewing for several years and also worked at Riley’s IGA. She was a member of the American Legion and most recently the Red Hat Society. She is survived by one son, Virgil “Joe” Drake of Littleton; and one daughter, Emily Currier and her companion, Tom Greenlaw, of Houlton; six grandchildren, 11 great-grand-children, two great-great- grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Ira Adams of Brewer, Laurel Adams of Titusville, Fla., Shirley Mason of Southington, Conn., Winston Adams of Gloucester, Va., and Marilyn White of Naples, Fla.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Ervin in February; one grandson, Eric; two brothers, Harold and Reginald Adams; and two sisters, Dorothy Sloat and Elaine Adams. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Steve Straubel officiating. Interment will be at Littleton Cemetery, Littleton.
