BREWER and BANGOR – Clifford B. West, 99, husband of the late Ethel (Sprague) West, died March 6, 2007, at a Bangor health care center. He was born Aug. 10, 1907, in Brewer, the son of Chester and Louise (Wood) West. Clifford had always been a kind and gentle person who was loved and respected by all who knew him. He loved the seacoast, flower gardens, hiking around Mound Desert Island and taking trips around the state of Maine. He is survived by his niece, Marilyn Curtis of Prospect and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Earle and Lloyd West; two sisters, Florence West and Gertrude (West) Grant. Funeral services are planned for the latter part of this week and the time will be published in the Thursday edition of the Bangor Daily News. Burial will be in the spring at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer. Arrangements by Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer.
