LINCOLN – Cliff McCormick passed away Feb. 11, 2007, at his home. He was born June 14, 1920, in Lee, the son of Lester and Pearl (Coffin) McCormick. Cliff was educated in Lincoln schools and spent four and one half years in the U.S. Army Air Force in World War II. He served in Australia, New Guinea and the Philippines. He was awarded the American Defense Service Medal with Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon with two Bronze Service Stars. He worked for 35 years as a mechanic at McCormick Motor Co., Lincoln, along with his father and two brothers, Dale and Nick. He was a member of Horeb Lodge AF & AM, Lincoln. In addition to his wife, Kay, he is survived by two sons, Dalton McCormick of Lewiston and Mark McCormick of Lincoln; two granddaughters, Carrie and Jessica of Lewiston; two sisters, Lauril McFaIls of Enfield and Sandra Libby of Sorento. Cliff was predeceased by his parents, Lester and Pearl McCormick; three brothers, Dale, Avon “Nick” and Norman McCormick; a sister, Priscilla Collier. At Cliff’s request, there will be no calling hours. A military graveside service is planned for June 14. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
