NEWPORT RICHEY, Fla., and PERRY – Clyde Edwin Ricker, 82, passed away April 14, 2007. He was born June 8, 1924, in Bangor, the son of Ellery T. Ricker and Ruby A. Ricker. Clyde was a veteran of World War II and a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a boilermaker by trade out of Local 29. Clyde’s greatest love was his family first and hunting and fishing. He spent many times and loved his camp on the Golden Road, Perry. He lived in Portland for many years, before moving to Perry in 1980. His sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Pauline; one son, Clyde Jr. of Falmouth; daughters, Gloria Candelmo of Perry and Nancy Johnson of Scarborough; stepson, Jeffrey Wheeler of Westport; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Clyde was predeceased by his first wife, Hazel; his parents, Allery and Ruby Ricker; daughter, Ann Wheeler of Baileyville; two brothers, Lucius of Newport Richey, Fla., and Darlington of Perry. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
