CHERRYFIELD – Clyde F. Lamson, 89, who would have been 90 Dec. 16, died Oct. 20, 2006, after a brief illness. Clyde was born Dec. 16, 1916, in Jonesport, the son of Coleman and Mary (Beal) Lamson. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II from 1941 to 1944. Clyde worked many years at the Underwood Factory, Jonesport, where he was factory foreman. When the factory closed, he moved to New Hampshire and worked at supermarket chains retiring in 1986. He then moved back to Maine, the area he most enjoyed. He was predeceased by the love of his life of more than 50 years, Irene (Dobbins) Lamson; and six siblings, Velora, Lorna, Harvey, Elwin, Vinton and Rita. Clyde is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport.
