FAIRFIELD, Vt. – Coleman Roland Chandler, 95, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully Saturday, June 21, 2008, in his sleep, after a day working in his garden. He was predeceased by his wife of 71 years, Hulda B. Smith, Aug. 25, 2007. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Phillip Shattuck of Richmond, Vt.; six grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren and one great- great-granddaughter. He also leaves a son-in-law, John S. Brown; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial get together will be held at his former home at Fern Hill Apartments.
