CARIBOU – Concepcion “Connie” Grendell, 75, died Dec. 8, 2006, in Lowell, Mass. She was born Dec. 30, 1930, in LaCoruna, Spain, the daughter of Rogelio and Luisa (Aneiros) Gomez. Mrs. Grendell was a self-employed seamstress and was also employed at Mecon, Caribou, for many years. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Terry Grendell of Columbia, S.C., and Roger and Tiffany Grendell of Reading, Pa.; one daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Gil Ynostroza of Billerica, Mass.; one sister, Maria Neives Gomez of Madrid, Spain; her closest friend and long time companion, Leon “Lenny” Hale of Caribou. Mrs. Grendell will be fondly remembered by many close friends including, Delores Richards, Gloria Sutherland, Pat Parker, Maxine Boucher and the “mac girls.” Mrs. Grendell was predeceased by her parents and four brothers. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. David Raymond officiating in a Mass of Christian burial.
