VAN BUREN – Conrad Fortin, 84, died Dec. 5, 2007, at a Caribou hosp-ital, after a brief illness. He was born Feb. 10, 1923, in Frenchville, the son of Alcide and Elise (Rossignol) Fortin. Conrad was the owner and operator of Fortin Brothers Co., working as a flooring contractor for more than 60 years. He was an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion, Levasseur-Farrell Post 49 of Van Buren. He was also a member of the Van Buren Lions Club. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
