ELLSWORTH – Constance (Martin) Booth, 91, passed away at home with her loving family by her side, Sept. 20, 2004. She was born Dec. 12, 1912, in Admire, Kan., the daughter of Jacob Their and Ida Mae (Hausermann) Martin. She taught in a one-room schoolhouse in Kansas for many years and was a firm believer in education of young people. Connie enjoyed gardening and always grew the best roses in town. Connie is survived by her loving daughter, Carlene Parsons; grandson, Joseph Parsons, both of Ellsworth; brother, Glenn Martin; sister, Meryl Mansfield, both of Kansas; many nieces and nephews. Connie was predeceased by her husband, Carl L. Booth in 1978; two sisters, two brothers. Visitation for family and friends will be 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bucksport, with Fr. Richard Lembo, celebrant. A gathering of conversation and refreshment will immediately follow the service. Interment will be in Admire, Kan. at a later date.
