HUDSON – Constance V. Lamoreau, 77, died Dec. 15, 2007, after a long battle with Addison’s and Alzheimer’s dis-ease, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born March 3, 1930, in East Millinocket, the daughter of William H. and Lily (Champion) Brown. Connie was a graduate of Schenk High School, where she was a star basketball player, a cheerleader and an honors graduate. She married H.C. “Mike” Lamoreau in 1948. She was the devoted mother of four sons and worked as an Immigration and Naturalization Officer at Bangor International Airport for 17 years, retiring in 1994. Connie was a long time member of the Appalachian Trail Club and enjoyed backpacking and hiking the Appalachian Trail in Maine with Mike and best friend, Shirley Whitney. She was a former member of Orono United Methodist Church and served on many of the church committees. Connie and Mike enjoyed many trips to Europe, the Caribbean and the South Pacific in the early years of retirement. She was the inspiration behind the ren-ovation of a century old colonial style home and guided Mike in the room-by-room restoration. Connie enjoyed home decorating and stenciling. She created many beautiful ceramic pieces and left unfinished many sewing and knitting projects that she had started and could not finish. Connie was predeceased by her parents; and only sibling, her brother, Roger; and by two sons, Gordon “Skip” and Michael. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, H.C. “Mike”; son, Bryan in Iraq and his wife, Trudy, of Litchfield; son, James of Clifton; granddaughters, Nicole of Virginia, Ashley of Maine and Kaylee of Texas; many cousins, nieces and nep-hews. The family will forever be grateful to the staff at West-gate Manor, especially Evelyn, Shirley, Liz, Sidney, Judi, Kathy, Ed and many others. A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced later.
