EAGLE LAKE – Cora (Gagnon) Sirois, 88, wife of the late Leonide Sirois, died Oct. 12, 2004, at an Eagle Lake Healthcare Facility. She was born March 14, 1916, in Eagle Lake, the daughter of David and Justine (Devoe) Gagnon. She was a proud life member of the Ladies of St. Anne of Eagle Lake. She mothered and loved dearly 18 children. She is survived by four sons, Lionel Sirois and his wife, Jane, of Tampa, Fla., Gilman Sirois of Lewiston, Gary Sirois of Manchester, Conn., and Jimmy Sirois of Eagle Lake; eight daughters, Joan Thibodeau and her husband, Cliff, of Caribou, Arlene Kidney and her husband, Lew, of Eagle Lake, Esther Goulet and her husband, Dick, of Lewiston, Betty Cole and her husband, Jerry, of Charlton, Mass., Patsy Beaudry and her husband, Maurice, of Lewiston, Margaret Claffy and her husband, Bill, of Deerfield, N.H., Nancy Pelletier of Bangor, Rose Cyr and her husband, John, of Portland; one sister, Jeanne Devoe of Eagle Lake; 45 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sons, Normand, Fernand, Richard, Gerald, Armand; and one daughter, Diane Sirois. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, and 8 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004 at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, until time of departure for Eagle Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake, with the Rev. Phil Cyr officiating. Committal service will follow in the parish cemetery.
