CORA S. REYNOLDS MACHIAS – Cora S. Reynolds, 93, passed away Sept. 23, 2005 in Machias. She was born April 30, 1912, in Machiasport, the daughter of the late Edwin and Gracie (Clark) Pettegrow. Cora married Ray Reynolds Aug. 20, 1930. She lived her whole life in Machias. She was a long time member of the Machias Valley Baptist Church. Cora was a devoted mother to her children and a friend to all. Cora is survived by her five sons and two daughters, Ray Reynolds and wife, Meridith, of Hancock, Lloyd Reynolds of Machias, Linwood Reynolds of Machias, Nadine Tidwell of Graham, N.C., Peggy Burt and husband, Kent, of Mapleton, Utah, Billy Reynolds and wife, Shirley, of Chelsea, and Edwin Reynolds and wife, Helen, of Machias; 20 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Louise Farrington, of South Portland and Laura Trask of Boothbay Harbor. She was predeceased by her husband, March 22, 1974. She was also predeceased by four grandsons, and one great-grandson. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sept. 25, 2005, at the Machias Valley Baptist Church. Burial followed at the Bayview Cemetery in Larrabee. Arrangements were under the care of Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Machias.
