EDWARD A. ‘TONY’ REED FORT FAIRFIELD – Edward A. “Tony” Reed, 49, died unexpectedly, Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, at his Fort Fairfield residence. He was born July 23, 1956, in Aurora, Ill., the son of Edward and Gail (Parchen) Reed. Tony graduated from high school in Thomson, Ill., in 1974, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Geo Ecology from the University of Maine, at Presque Isle. He served in the U.S. Army from 1975-1978 and was stationed in Germany and achieved the rank of Staff Sargent. Tony was married to Carol Daigle on Sept. 20, 1998, and was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and bass fishing and fished in many bass tournaments. Tony deeply loved his family especially his children. He owned and operated Three Amigos Roofing and Anthony’s Grill in Caribou. He is survived by his wife of seven years, Carol Reed; his mother, Gail Kerry; two sons, Kyle A. Reed and John P. Reed; one daughter, Adrienne M. Reed, all of Fort Fairfield; two step-daughters, Nichole M. Walker of Limestone and Kristen L. Hebert of Fort Fairfield; two brothers, Ken Reed and his wife, Erma, John Reed, all of Belvidere, Ill.; step-father, Paul Conway and his wife, Cheryl, of Clinton, Iowa; one grandson, Mitchell A. Reed of Fort Fairfield; several nieces and nephews. Tony will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his special friends, Larry Willette of Caribou and Henry Gorneault of Presque Isle. Tony’s family will receive relatives and friends 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the home of Carol Reed, 104 Sam Everett Road, Fort Fairfield. Tony’s family would prefer that all who attend dress in a casual manner. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Tony to the charity or organization of one’s choice. Arrangements are in care of Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.
