GUILFORD – Courtney M. McCann, 85, died Dec. 14, 2004, at her home in Guilford. She was born Jan. 2, 1919, in Abbot, the daughter of Harry and Louise (Looke) Crabtree. She worked as a spooler, dresser and pattern maker at several of the local mills. She enjoyed their camp at Piper Pond and the family gatherings. She is survived by a son, Harry Collins of Guilford; two daughters and their husbands, June and Eric Small of Sandwich, Mass. and Judith and Dana Danforth of Belfast; two sisters, Althea Rogers of Monson, and Marie Carlson of Guilford; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Alonzo Collins and her second husband, John McCann; three brothers, Colby, Howard, and Gilbert Crabtree; two sisters, Winnona Burnham and Enola Hayden. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford.
