STOCKHOLM – Curtis Cooper, 96, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at a Van Buren nursing home. He was born Aug. 18, 1911, in Masardis, the son of Joseph and Estelle (Morse) Cooper. Curtis was employed as a game warden for the state of Maine for 43 years before retiring in 1971. He had a true love for nature and could easily spot out bear and deer. He is survived by two nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Dorothy Wessell; and two sisters, Flora and Betty. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. Memorial services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Stockholm. Committal services will take place in the spring at New Sweden Cemetery.
