GREENVILLE – Clifton J. Kealiher, 93, died Dec. 19, 2007, at the Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor. He was born July 13, 1914, in Milo, son of Lester and Inez (Swazey) Kealiher. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, in the South Pacific theater. He was a master Maine guide, and owned and operated West Branch Pond Camps. He was a canoe and boats builder, and was a recipient of the Bud Leavitt Sportsman’s Award. He loved to fly fish for trout and salmon, and spent many sum-mers camping with his grandchildren. He was a 50-year member of Columbia Doric Masonic Lodge, Greenville. He is survived by two daughters, Carol Stirling of Kokadjo and Rosemary and her husband, Chuck James, of Millinocket; a sister, Harriet Young of Old Town; four grandchildren, Nathan Stirling of New York, Eric Stirling and his wife, Mildred, of Township A, Range 12, Steven James and his fianc?e, Kristie Coon, of Levant and Katie James of Fort Kent; nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Kenneth Kealiher of West Old Town; and many close special friends. He was predeceased by his wife of 30 years, Connie (Chadwick) Kealiher; his oldest grandson, Jack Stirling; and his faithful black lab, Christie. Friends may call 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at the Greenville Chapel of Crosby & Neal, on the first floor of the Masonic Building, Pritham Avenue, Greenville.
