PENOBSCOT – Cynthia E. Plourde, 65, died May 29, 2004, at the Penobscot Nursing Home, after a difficult struggle with kidney disease. She was born Sept. 12, 1938, in Old Town, the daughter of Milton and Bertha (Look) Plourde. She is survived by six children and seven grandchildren who love and miss her more than words can express: Donna Land and her husband, Steve, of Newport News, Va.; Julie Joy and her husband, Kevin, and son, Eric of Addison; Lisa Robbins and her husband, Don, and daughter, Danielle of Vassalboro; George “Sonny” Carver and Debbie Ouellette of Cherryfield; Laurie Oliver and her husband, Len, and daughters, Kinsey and Madison of Gorham; Dean Carver and his wife, Melissa, and children, Ashley, Haley and Bradley of Oakland: one sister, Annette Stanwood of Machias; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Mary Smith of Columbia. A graveside service will be held at the Church Hill Cemetery in Addison.
