Cynthia Marie Phillips Brown passed peacefully into her eternal rest to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Aug. 7, 2006, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born July 16, 1946, in Belfast. Cindy was an inspiration to everyone she met. Her praise and worship of the Lord was evident and affected all who knew her. The word and grace of God was her source of strength, especially Psalm 91. Although she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, we know that she is now rejoicing with the angels in heaven around the throne of God. She is predeceased by her parents, Pauline Sullivan and Merl Phillips; and her brother, Stephen Phillips. She is survived by her children, Polly Pooler and husband, Craig, Varena French and husband, Tim, Eddie Furbush and April Hatch, Melissa Harrington and Frank Lawrence; grandchildren, Chris, Tobey, Veronica, Olivia, Brandon and Polly; siblings, George Phillips and wife, Reina, Fred Phillips and wife, Sue, Joe Phillips and wife, Winnie, David Phillips and wife, Diane, Jim Phillips and wife, Nancy, Stanley Sullivan, Christine Wheeler and husband, Patrick; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her church families. Family and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at Brooks Pentecostal Church, Monroe Highway, Brooks.
