CHARLESTON – Dale B. Norsworthy, 60, the husband of Karen (Gray) Norsworthy, died unexpectedly May 19, 2004, at Caribou. He was born Feb. 6, 1944, in Charleston, the son of Harley and Bertha (Robbins) Norsworthy. A good husband and father, Dale was a happy-go-lucky person who enjoyed working with cattle and especially driving trucks. Dale was especially proud of being the owner of the first Peter Bilt in Maine in 1969 and has spent his life trucking. Surviving in addition to his wife of Charleston and his mother, Bertha Ulrich and her husband, Linn of Wesley are two daughters, Michele Surette and Melissa Gott and her husband, Aric, all of Skowhegan; four grandchildren, Joshua Dale Surette, Haley Elizabeth Surette, Gabrielle Olivia Gott and Arielle Sierra Gott; five sisters, Rita Easler, Lillian Niles, Phyllis Theriault and Linda Cloutier, all of New Hampshire and Charlotte Hutchinson of Florida; three brothers, Donald Norsworthy and his wife, Diane, of Dover-Foxcroft, Delbert Norsworthy and Douglas Norsworthy, both of Garland. Dale will be missed by his in-laws, Bill and Shirley Gray; a very special aunt, Myrtie Blanchard; and a close friend, Roy Clark, all of Charleston. He was predeceased by a sister, Edith Norsworthy; and a brother, Dwight Norsworthy. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Charleston Pentecostal Church with Pastor Matthew Ward officiating. Cremation will be at Mount Hope Crematory, Bangor.
