BLUE HILL – Dale E. Patten, 34, died Feb. 12, 2005, in Blue Hill. He was born Feb. 11, 1971, in Ellsworth, the son of Gilbert C. Hooper and Jane (Owen) Patten of Blue Hill. Dale was a 1989 graduate of George Stevens Academy. He was owner and operator of B-D Seafood for three years. He loved to golf, enjoyed reading science fiction and had a special love for animals and was loved by all. He is survived by his wife, Barbie Patten; father, Gilbert C. Hooper; his mother, Jane Patten; and special friend, Stacy Emerton, all of Blue Hill; son, Matthew B. Patten of Castine; brothers, Marvin C. Patten and wife, Kim, of Sedgwick, Randy Hooper of Hampden; sisters, Kelly Fernandez and Cindy Williams, both of Ellsworth; niece, Samantha Hadlock and husband, Ed and their children, Nick and Alex of Ellsworth; nephews, Chris Fernandez of Trenton and Brandon Patten of Gorham; and many extended family members. He was predeceased by a brother, Berry Patten; and sister, Susan Patten. Dale will be sadly missed by his many friends. Visiting hours for Dale will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at Jordan-Fernald, 141 South St., Blue Hill.
