BAILEYVILLE – Dale Erwin Seamans, 70, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2004 at a Calais hospital. Dale was born July 20, 1934, in Baileyville, the son of Gerald and Elva (Cousins) Seamans. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, and being an avid hunter and fisherman, was a member of the Princeton Rod and Gun club. He worked for Charles Murrey for many years and at the OSB mill in Baileyville for five years. Dale was predeceased by his wife, Marlene (McGraw) Seamans; three sisters, Wilfred Robinson, Grace and her husband, Moose Harriman, Gertrude Seamans; a sister-in-law, Gertrude Severance. He is survived by one daughter, Tammy Cropley and husband, Tony, of Brookton; two grandchildren, Anthony and Tara Cropley, both of Brookton; five sisters, Geraldine Patterson of Baileyville, Mary Perry of Baileyville, Jean Kravas and Bill, of Washington, Evelyn Aiken and Bruce, of Florida, Marlene Lord and Gordon, of Calais; a special close brother-in-law, Elwin Severance of Princeton; many nieces and nephews to whom he was a special uncle in may ways. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Princeton Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the family lot in the Princeton Cemetery. Friends may call 7-9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 19, at the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, 26 Church Street, Calais. In lieu of flowers, friends are requested to contribute to the Ronald McDonald House in Dale’s memory.
