YARMOUTH and FORT KENT Dale K. Perreault, 53, of Yarmouth died un-expectedly Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at his home. He was born Nov. 19, 1954, in Fort Kent, the son of Loretta (Dube) Perreault and the late Everette L. Perreault. After graduating from Fort Kent Community High School, June 1973, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force for a six-year assignment, which sent him overseas to Germany for several years. After his discharge, he settled in Florida for a short period of time and much to the delight of his family, returned to Maine and made his home in Yarmouth, which had been his home for the last 26 years. He attained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Husson College. He became an employee of L.L. Bean, June 1982, where he held different positions in accounting and budget until March 1996. He enjoyed the next year or so spending time with family and friends doing the things he loved to do. In particular, Dale enjoyed a game or two of cribbage with his parents. His passion for running always gave him that natural high, even with sore feet at times. He accomplished many marathons, both in Florida and Maine. Golfing or playing cards with family and friends, and visiting a few casinos was a good part of his social activity. He loved to travel. Dale was highly dedicated to his parents and his love for them and his family was tangible. Everyone who was in contact with him always left with the feeling of what a wonderful man he was. There are too many adjectives to describe what he meant to all of us. In 1999 he joined the R.C. Moore Transportation Co., Scarborough, as an accounting manager, but soon moved into the position of controller, which he held until his untimely death. He was highly regarded and respected by his staff and owners of the business. He was proud to be a member of Portland Air National Guard for more than a year, 1999-2000. He was predeceased by his father in June of 2001. Surviving are his mother, Loretta Perreault of Fort Kent; four sisters, Ann and Patrick Cannan of Eagle Lake, Bernadette and Carl Michaud of Lusby, Md., Marguerite and Robert Loheed Jr. of Yarmouth and Everil Perreault of Scarborough; a younger brother, Marc Perreault of New Britain, Conn.; nieces and nephews, Lisa Kelly, Audrey Langley, Deborah Cannan, Chris Cannan, who was his godson, Dennis Michaud, Christine Alcibiade and Benjamin Bohrmann; and great-nieces and great-nep-hews, Ryan and Lindsay Kelly, Emily and Ethan Colsos, Jarrett Cannan, Noah and Renee Michaud.
