CARIBOU – Dale L. Thompson, 71, died Nov. 25, 2005, at Caribou. He was born Feb. 10, 1934, in Caswell, the son of Van and Lavina (True) Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a self-employed farmer and auto mechanic and in his later years he owned and operated a vegetable stand near his home on the Access Highway. He married Winona (Jones) Thompson July 3, 1982. Surviving in addition to his wife of Caribou, are his son, Dale S. Thompson of Uncasville Conn.; four daughters, Dianne Bacon of East Hartford, Conn., Darci Thompson of South Windsor, Conn., Delci Thompson of Manchester, Conn. and Darla Donahue of Columbia, Conn.; three brothers, Delmar Thompson of Columbia, Conn., Leigh Thompson of Woodland and Gary Thompson of Limestone; two sisters, Charlene Oliver of Lumberton, Texas and Barbara Ochs of Drums, Pa.; five grandchildren, Christine Stankoski, Ashley Thompson, Colby and Jason Grange and Dale Thompson Jr.; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, Edmund, Roger Curtis and Dana W. Thompson; and a sister, Gretchen Bourgoine. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
