DANA A. KNIGHT SR. BELFAST – Dana A. Knight Sr., 56, died Sept. 15, 2008, at his residence. He was born Jan. 9, 1952, in Belfast, son of Stanley and Eva (Hood) Knight. He loved his work at Chem-Rock Corp., where he worked for 38 years. Dana enjoyed gardening and had a passion for cooking. He had a special baking pan made just to fit his oven for lasagna. He was predeceased by his parents; his father-in-law, Albert Cook Jr.; stepdaughter, Christina Larrabee; brother-in-law, Michael Cook; and son-in-law, Nathan Carter. Dana is survived by his wife of 21 years, Regina A. Knight of Belfast; his children, Dana Knight II of Brooks, Vicki Bragdon of Belfast, Stephen Larrabee II of Florida and John Larrabee of Belfast; two brothers, Stanley Knight and Anthony Knight, both of Belfast; two sisters, Paulette Knight of Brewer and Linda Start of Warren; his mother-in-law, Audrey Cook of Belfast; 12 grandchildren, two grandsons; a granddaughter he raised as his own daughter, Sheena or “Baby Girl” as he called her; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Edie Cook of Canaan, Kathy and Albert Edwards of Vassalboro, and Deborah Beaulieu and partner, Les, of Florida; brothers-in-law, Robert Cook and partner, Carolyn, of Winthrop, Terry Cook and partner, Sheryl, of Belfast, and Jimmy and Jessica Cook of Clinton. A graveside service will be held 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at Grove Cemetery, Belfast, with a celebration of Dana’s life 5 p.m. at Redman Hall.
