GLENBURN – Dana Alan Perkins, 59, died Jan. 17, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 15, 1947, in Calais, the son of Hazen and Martha (Hanson) Perkins. Dana was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Elks Club, Bangor. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved hunting, fishing and camping. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Shelby A. Perkins of Glenburn; a son, Alan Perkins of Holden; one daughter, Anne Marie King and her husband, Andrew, of New York; four grandchildren, Gavin, Savannah, Travis and Christian; one sister, Nancy and her husband, Koziol, of Holden; and his K9 companion, Muzzy. A memorial reception will be held 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at his sister’s house, 414 Levenseller Road, Holden. Spring interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
