CARIBOU – Dana E. Tilley, 62, died March 19, 2004, at Caribou, follo-wing a long illness. He was born March 3, 1942, in Mapleton, the son of Elwyn and Barbara A. (Ferguson) Tilley. Dana was a graduate of the Presque Isle High School and earned several degrees in heating, plumbing and boiler operation. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed with the Defense Finance and Accounting Services in Limestone, until his retirement in 2002. He was also employed at Cary Medical Center for years as head of maintenance. Dana was a member of the Anna Temple Shrine for more than 30 years and was an active member of the Meridian Splender Masonic Lodge No. 49 A.F.&A.M. in Newport. Surviving in addition to his mother, Barbara of Caribou, are one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Trish) Kinney of Caribou; one stepson, Christopher Cassidy of Caribou; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Brent (Debbie) Plourde and Barb Cassidy, both of Caribou; one brother, A. George Tilley and his wife, Bonita, of Olympia, Wash.; eight grandchildren, Bailee, Nathan, Matthew and Jessica Kinney, T.J., Whitney and Nicholas Plourde, and Christopher Cassidy Jr. Friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lynne Josselyn, pastor of the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating. Spring interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
