KNOX – Flora J. Turner, 104, a resident of Knox Ridge, died Friday, March 19, 2004, at the Shore Village in Rockland, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late of LeRoy Turner, who died in 1970. Mrs. Turner was a member of the South Liberty Baptist Church in Liberty, the Medomak Valley Grange in Burketville, Knox Pomona Grange, and the Tri County Button Club. Survivors include three daughters, Maud Ghent of Knox, Ruth Worcester of Montville, Janet Blood of Morrill; four sons, Erwin Turner of Porter, Ronald Turner of Liberty, Elmer of Appleton, Adrian Turner Anne of Belfast; 34 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; 36 great-great-grandchildren. There will be a visiting hour 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the South Liberty Baptist Church, Burketville Road, Liberty, and a funeral at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Nathan Garrett officiating.
