BEALS – Dana F. Perley, 54, died unexpectedly Aug. 30, 2006. He was born June 29, 1952, in Bangor, the son of Frederick J. and Barbara L. (Stinson) Perley. Dana graduated from Jonesport-Beals High School in 1971. He worked as a self-employed carpenter most of his life. Dana enjoyed kayaking and he was avid reader. He was also a fan of the Boston Red Sox. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Barbara and George Drisko of Beals; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friends, Bradley Woodward, and Brian and Bonita Alley; and many other friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather and grandmother, George Stinson and Marcella Stinson; and father, Frederick J. Perley. The family thanks Robert Alley, Dale Smith, the ambulance attendants and the staff at Down East Community Hospital for their support. At Dana’s request, there will be no visiting hours or service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dana’s memory to a church of one’s choice.
