FORT KENT – Danferd Charette, 65, beloved husband of Robertine (Caron) Charette, died Nov. 1, 2004, at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. He was born in Fort Kent, May 5, 1939, the son of Joseph and Eva (Laferriere) Charette. Danferd worked for Fraser Paper Co. of Madawaska for more than 33 years. He was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Council No. 0325 of Fort Kent, Vice President of the ATV Club, and member of the snowmobile club. He served in the Maine Army National Guard, C. Battery of Fort Kent. He worked part-time in Joe Charette’s Junkyard. He was also an avid outdoorsman. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Robertine Charette, of Fort Kent; five children, Mae Pelletier and her husband, Ray, of Bucksport, Daniel and his fianc?e, Julie Lomas, of McAllen, Texas, Cindy Tardif and her husband, Leonard, Steve Charette and his wife, Marielle, Lisa Dionne and her husband, Dale, all of Fort Kent; two brothers, Joseph Charette Jr., of Sherman, Alphonse Charette, of Fort Kent; two sisters, Anna Jean Boucher, of Chapman, Eva Mae Cyr, of Van Buren; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, and 8 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, until time of services. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Committal services will full 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Honors will follow in the parish cemetery.
