DANIEL A. OUELLETTE VAN BUREN – Daniel A. Ouellette, 76, died peacefully March 29, 2006, at a Van Buren healthcare facility after a long illness. He was born May 31, 1929, in Van Buren, the son of David J. and Artheline (Cyr) Ouellette. He was employed as a carpenter for various area construction companies, retiring from General Supply Company of Limestone after more than 20 years as their employee. Dan was a member of the Van Buren Fire Department for 22 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Dell (Madore) Ouellette of Van Buren; one son, Steve Ouellette and his wife, Shirley, of Duluth, Minn.; one daughter, Lita Madore and her husband, Jim, of Van Buren; one brother, Conrad Ouellette of Van Buren; three sisters, Edwina Ouellette of Van Buren, Carlene Masse of Caribou and Omerine Gagnon of Ellington, Conn.; two very special grandsons, Cory and Jesse Ouellette, both of Duluth, Minn. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two infant daughters, Karen Ouellette in 1951 and Tina Ouellette in 1955; three brothers, Lawrence Ouellette, Jim Ouellette and Norman “Herman” Ouellette; three sisters, Yvette Levasseur, Estelle Deschaine and Fernande Ouellette. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery later this spring.
