PATTEN – Daniel E. Williams, 57, died July 17, 2007, in Amherst, as the result of a truck accident. He was born April 25, 1950, in Island Falls. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard, B Battery, serving for more than 20 years. He drove school bus for SAD 25 for 30 years. He loved hanging out at the Deli, swapping stories, and telling jokes. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Roxene (McNally) Williams; one daughter, Darcy Williams and her daughter, Mariah Williams, all of Patten; one sister, Mary Ella Boynton of Millinocket; two brothers, Steve and Dorothy of Cromwell, Conn., Kirby and Deanna of Patten; several nieces and nephews; three stepsisters, Donna, Glenda and Betty; and two special friends, Ed Fazzina and Guf Molesky. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Buster Cole; one sister, Judy McLellan; and father-in-law, Vaughn “Sonny” McNally. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Patten Pentecostal Church, Patten, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday with Pastor Sam Dewitt officiating.
