PORTLAND – Daniel F. LeVasseur, 57, resident of Arlington Avenue, Westbrook, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at Maine Medical Center, Portland. He was born May 5, 1950, in Fort Fairfield, a son of Bernard and Edwina (Michaud) LeVasseur. He attended schools in Fort Fairfield and graduated from Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1970. He attended Thomas College, Waterville. Mr. LeVasseur worked for many years as a computer operator for Hannaford Brothers supermarkets. He attended Central Square Baptist Church, Portland. He was a member of Deering Lodge of Masons, the Scottish Rite Bodies and was a member of Kora Shrine Temple, Lewiston. He was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was a former advisory board member of the Order of the Rainbow for Girls. He enjoyed spending free time baking bread and also enjoyed children. He attended many sporting events of his nieces and nephews, and enjoyed being there to root them on. He was predeceased by his father, a brother, Wayne LeVasseur; and a nephew, Jason P. Everett. He is survived by his mother of Fort Fairfield; his wife of 27 years, Judith (Scott) LeVasseur of Westbrook; two sisters, Cynthia and her husband, Ralph Jones, of Fort Fair-field, and Susan Everett of Fort Fairfield; a brother, Phillip and his wife, Linda LeVasseur, of Fort Fairfield; an uncle, Irvin Michaud of New Mexico; two aunts, Dorothy and her husband, Larry Davis, of Illinois, and Maxine Morrisette of Fair-field; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Central Square Baptist Church, 4 Brentwood St., Portland, with the Rev. Daryl Lavway officiating. In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, 51 U.S. Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, ME 04074 or to the Shriner’s Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104, in Mr. Daniel F. Levasseur’s memory. Arrangements are by Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, Portland.
