SPRINGFIELD – Daniel Ivan Bean, 57, passed Sept. 14, 2007. The man called “Big Dan,” seen often with a black and tan or rod in hand, once touted as the strongest man in Maine, yet more loving and caring than any other, born and lived in Topsfield, became a Princeton Bomber, but realized his dream in another, lived as a horseman, a driver, a guide and a barber, was a champion, but most of all was a friend, a husband and a father. None were ever better. This was his time, he was ready, let us all remember his beautiful voice shout “GLORY.” He loved and cherished his Lord, as well as all those to be remembered, wife, Cathy; son, Jesse and girlfriend, Elizabeth; daughter, Calla Sue; children, Dale and fianc?e, Heidi, Nara “Gara,” Terrilynn and fianc?, Roger, Joshua and fianc?e, Sebrena, and Eric; grandchildren, Daniel, Riley, Ryan, Missy and Nathan; brother, Dana; sisters, Dawn and Diane; many nephews and nieces; special friends and family, Johnny, Emma, Uncle Maurice, Wylder, Conrad and Elizabeth; families’, Osgood, Wheaton, Gould, Fox, Hewes; and many, many others. A visitation for family and friends will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Spring-field Community Church, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. with the Rev. Bruce Swan officiating. Burial will be after at Codyville Cemetery. Friends are invited to Springfield Community Church after the burial for refreshments and fellowship.
