MILO – Daniel “Danny” J. Johndro, 34, passed away Nov. 19, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. He died peacefully while surrounded by his family and the Lord, whom he had accepted as his Christ and Savior, at a Bangor hospital. Daniel was born April 8, 1973, in Milo, the son of Clayton and Jean Johndro. Danny was raised with his three brothers on Elm Street, Milo. He attended Penquis Valley High School and during his junior year, assisted his dad and brothers to start the company known today as Milo’s largest private employer, JSI Store Fixtures. Danny was a supervisor for many years while the company became a multi-million dollar business. Danny was part-owner and operator of JSI for more than 10 years. Danny was also a parent and dearly loved his only son, Cody Johndro and his most recent treasure, daughter, Karadynce Heal, who recently celebrated her 2nd birthday with Danny. Surviving in addition to his mom and dad, are his son, Cody Johndro; daughter, Karadynce Heal; three brothers, Mark, Barry and Terry Awalt; numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Danny was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, to whom he was very close, Hughie Johndro; and grandmother, Sadie Johndro. Danny was also predeceased by maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Arthur Daigle. At Danny’s request, private services to honor his memory will be held on his 35th birthday with his immediate family.
